The Royce Experience:
Kevin Royce talks about his students

When our Middle School math teacher, Stephen Rack, left in December for a medical leave, Kevin Royce was hired to replace him for the remainder of the school year. Mr. Royce wanted to say some things about the kids of our school. He says that it has been very easy to get in the flow of each school day and to get along with the students because they have shown a type of friendliness that makes them inviting. Another thing he has said about the kids is, “They have been as willing to learn as Middle Schoolers can be. It has definitely taken quite a few hours to keep up with these kids. Overall, it has been great working with the kids in this school,” he says. He has also enjoyed the musical talents of the kids at the concerts. A funny quote he said was, “The coffee in the teachers’ lounge is very delicious.” The only way that he really could answer the questions in the interview is to say that he is very happy that he got a job here at Guilford Central School.
