Date Change and Planning Meeting

The date for K - 3 Field Day has been changed to Friday, June 4. This year Field Day will occur at school and it is being organized by parents.
A planning meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 P.M. in the cafeteria.
On Tuesday parents will be able to talk with the organizer, Cindy Shippee to determine activities and assign responsibilities.
The Art and Music departments look forward to showcasing students fine work at the up coming Arts Night. The celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 26th at 6:30 in the gym. Chorus, Beginners Band and Advanced Band students should plan to arrive please at 6:10 to warm up, dressed in concert dress. We look forward to a fun night.

A “celebrity” can be a teacher, principal, student, or parent! Youth Services’ Celebrity Rodeo will follow The Strolling of the Heifers Parade on Saturday, June 5 between 2 and 3 p.m. A minimum of $100 in donations is required to ride in the rodeo. Afternoon Garden Club- Starts Friday May 14th! Join us to have a delicious healthy snack, and feed the soil some compost, too! There is no charge for this afterschool activity thanks to a donation by the Four Winds group. Pick up is by 4:30. Parents and staff are also welcome to help plan this year's crops and join in the joy of gardening. Last year we grew about 100 gorgeous heads of lettuce and 15 pounds of potatoes for school lunch and the fall community potluck. This year Abbey foods has promised to buy what you grow for school lunch. So lets get growing! Deer Ridge Farm is offering Farm Camp for its 7th summer! Campers pick berries, cook, build, and work with pigs and chickens. Programs run from July 5 - August 20th, with Future Farmers for ages 4-6, Farm Explorers aged 7-9 and Farm Adventures (including an overnight option) for ages 10-11 and 12-14. Attention parents and guardians of 8th graders....all 8th graders will be going to BUHS next Friday, May 21st to attend high school orientation from 9:00 -11:00 A.M. They will meet the house principals, BUHS principal, have a tour and a chance to meet with existing BUHS students for a little questions and answer time.
