To all 8th grade parents and guardians,
On Monday, March 22, three counselors will be coming from BUHS to register your child for fall 2010. I have scheduled all the 8th grade students for 30 minutes each with their counselor. The schedule is tight, so please make sure you are on time if you wish to come and sit in...you are MORE than welcome, but if you cannot make it, your child will still be able to register. Please ask your child for the letter from me that states their scheduled time along with location. Please call Mr. T. with any questions.

GREEN UP GUILFORD Saturday, May 1 Rain or Shine 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Green up volunteers needed! Community service hours for BUHS students! Pick up a Green Up bag at the Grange between 8 & 5. Yummy refreshments available throughout the day. Metal, recyclables and tires will be separated from the regular trash. Volunteers needed to pick up bags of trash and bake treats, etc. Call Elly Majonen 257-4067 for answers to questions.
SAVE THE DATE CONVERSATION ON UNDERAGE DRINKING Tuesday, March 23, 6:00-7:30 P.M.
The Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition and the SADD Chapter of Brattleboro Union High School will be hosting a Community Conversation on Underage Drinking. Dinner and childcare will be provided at St. Michael's School on 48 Walnut Street in Brattleboro. Take part in a conversation that will result in concrete actions you can take into your role, whether it be as a parent, law enforcement officer, teacher, student or other concerned community member, to create a community that does not tolerate underage drinking. Register for this informative event at 802-257-2175. Seventh and eighth grade parents be sure to talk to your student about extra credit for Health Class if you attend this event together.
K-6 ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT Thursday, March 27 in the gym
Students should arrive at 6:10 P.M. Concert starts at 6:30 P.M. All students are expected to attend the concert to show/present what they have been learning in music this year. All students are expected to”dress up” and follow appropriate dress code.
Girls: dresses/blouses/slacks
Boys: dress pants/collared shirt & a tie if available. NO tee shirts/jeans/athletic wear. The concert will last approximately one hour.
