BUHS BAND TO D.C. FUND-RAISER A SUCCESS! Thanks to all who contributed to the joint Guilford Central School/Friends of Music at Guilford fund-raiser for the 4 Guilford students who are going to Washington for the Inaugural Parade with the BUHS Band (9th graders, Galen Karlan-Mason & Kasey Kidder, and 10th graders, Heather Franklin & Megan Majonen). We raised $1,000, which was distributed to the 4 students to be used as needed for the trip. Of this total, $637 was raised at or through the school, including gifts from the staff's Secret Santa exchange, special gifts from staff members Mary Ingram, Pat Ireton and the Kerber Family & New England House. We also received donations from the Richard Blazej Music Fund and money dropped in our jar from parents and the school community. The balance was raised from a donation box at the Guilford Country Store and at the FOMAG Christmas concerts and donations from FOMAG Members and the community. Our best wishes to our Guilford students participating in this historic occasion. We'll be watching for you on TV! --

THANK YOU everyone for sending in the Box Tops for Education .... we received $166.50 from General Mills and gave it to Janet Michaud the school nurse, who diligently cuts and counts them to be sent. She uses this extra income for supplies and snacks for students who seek her aid.
