WALK TO THE LIBRARY WITH CATHI AFTER SCHOOL ON THURSDAY!

GIRLS ON THE RUN starts Tuesday, March 17. Cost for the 9 week program of 18 sessions is $70, which includes t-shirt, curriculum materials, a special gift, and registration for the 5K. Registration forms were sent to all grade 3-5 girls before break. Registration deadline is Friday, March 13. Please call Carol Bailey with any questions at 254-4910. THE GUILFORD PLAYERS

Your voice, your body and your imagination - that’s all you need to make theatre! The Guilford Players will return to school with an introduction to acting classes led by NEYT faculty member Jonathan Mirin. Improvisation and games to discover how characters make scenes ... and scenes make characters.

March 23 - May 26 from 3:15-4:30 P.M. at school. Cost $100

LOST & FOUND

Please come in and check lost & found. There are plenty of coats, pants, shirts, lunch boxes, hats, mittens & gloves unclaimed. Those items not claimed by March 18 will be donated to charity.

IT’S TIME AGAIN!!! MARCH READING CHALLENGE begins this Monday, March 9 and runs through Friday, April 3. Please look for information, prize lists and reading contracts for both adults and children coming home today. We'd love to have more participants than ever this year - consider reading a book together as a family. Weekend reading is optional but strongly encouraged; students who read on weekend days will be eligible for a special prize this year! Reading Challenge prizes this year include an iPod Touch from Brown Computer Solutions, a $100 gift certificate for use at an area book store, adult grand prize of an overnight stay for two at the Latchis Hotel and many, many more. “2nd Annual Affair of the Arts”. Saturday, March 7 join the Brattleboro Music Center, Fulcrum Arts, New England Center for Circus Arts and New England Youth Theatre fro day of the arts filled with hands-on workshops. Daytime activities will be free (donations welcome) and food will be available for purchase.

A collaboration of artists, acrobats, actors and musicians –a celebration of our vibrant arts community. To purchase tickets to the Opening Reception that include reserved seats for the Gala Show for $45. Open seating tickets: $15 adults, $10 students under 18, free under 2 years old.

New England Youth Theatre offering: PAGE TO STAGE, a theatre class for 6 & 7 year olds beginning March 14.

Classes, taught by professional educator Maureen Ward, will be held on Saturdays from 10:00-11:30 A.M. Page to Stage is a perfect continuation of the work begun in our Drama & Dress Up class for our youngest students. For new or returning kids, it will be a wonderful place to build a deeper connection with the theatre and to explore the creation of character, script, scenery and costume.

Classes are Saturday March 14 - May 9, 10:00 - 11:30 A.M., $175 tuition.

BOY SCOUT TROOP 403 of Guilford is looking for new scouts and leaders. If you would like to join, we meet every week on Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Boy Scout Cabin next to the fairgrounds. Boy Scouts is available for boys age 12 to 18. We do camping, hiking, and a variety of other outdoor activities and participate each year at a week long scout summer camp with hundreds of scouts from other troops.
